On this day 45 years ago, Queen first performed at Surrey College in England. This was the group’s first gig with the line-up of Brian May, Roger Taylor, John Deacon, and Freddie Mercury, who suggested the band’s name and created their logo which combined the members’ zodiac signs.
Queen's earliest works were influenced by progressive rock and heavy metal of the day, but the band gradually ventured into more conventional and radio-friendly works. WATCH the Video of
