Razzle dazzle in design of this subway entrance ( access to several lines and the shuttle too) makes perfect sense for Times Square! Right in tune with ambiance of what they used to call "the Great White Way" ( and what some people now rather sourly call "New York's foremost bit of Disneyworld"--
I don't feel it is all that Disney...I mean, you can say that a town like Prague is Disney if you want to ( how much super pretty super European historical feel can you take?)
For some reason, NYC has all these otherwise cultured people in many cases who make out like the old sleazy Times Square was a great place or something...believe me, it wasn't--when I was very young I worked in an office there and got so tired of being hassled by working girls on the street, brazenly doing their best to make contact with you ( pinning a flower on you out of nowhere and with totally blank look saying" Money for the blind children?"
And total hell at night on side streets...mugger's paradise.
No, give me the Disney version if that's what this is.
