Race and Revolution

House 8A, Nolan Park, through Sept. 25
How have Native and African Americans been written out of American history, and what does this mean to contemporary political and social ideologies? This group art show addresses this question through original works that respond to historical documents, bridging the conversation of race in America to the present. MORE INFO

The Vendy Awards

September 17, 12:30-5pm
Come out for the annual competition to determine the “best of the best” in street food. Attendees will get to sample food from this year’s 25 publicly nominated vendors and help pick the People’s Choice Award winner. All proceeds benefit The Street Vendor Project.

SCA Find Your Park
Day of Service 

On September 10, the Student Conservation Association gathered over 300 volunteers to commemorate the events of 9/11 with a Day of Service on Governors Island. Together they helped build new garden beds, nurseries, and tool sheds, cleared weeds, constructed oyster cages, and cleaned the Island’s historic forts. READ MORE & VIEW PHOTOS
