Pacific Rim

I keep wondering if I should go see something like this for the hell of it (and the special effects) but am kept away by the deafening explosions etc also exploding music of these films..

Let me see what I can find out about this one--well, Rotten Tomatoes gives it a favorable reaction from the public anyway and says this


It may sport more style than substance, but Pacific Rim is a solid modern creature feature bolstered by fantastical imagery and an irresistible sense of fun.

Who knows? Maybe it IS fun.
