Summer is in full swing and there's no better place than Governors Island to enjoy it! Whether you're napping in a hammock, listening to a concert, watching a Euro soccer match, or biking around the island, there's something for everyone. Come soak up the sunshine!

Rite of Summer

Saturday 1pm & 3pm
World-class cellist Jeffrey Zeigler and percussionist Ian Rosenbaum will be performing free at Nolan Park! Rite of Summer, now in its 6th year, is a classical contemporary music festival that presents many of New York’s best-known soloists and ensembles.  LEARN MORE

Euro 2016 Viewing Parties
June 24th - July 10th

Cheer on your favorite soccer team at one of our big screen outdoor viewing parties! Spontaneous Interventions (S.I.) will be showing UEFA Euro 2016 soccer matches as well as New York City FC matches. Bring your friends and family, and don't forget the picnic blanket!  SCHEDULE

River to River Festival
This weekend through June 26

Come out and experience live dance, music, visual art and new media projects taking place on Governors Island as part of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's 15th annual River to River Festival! LEARN MORE.

Countdown to The Hills!
Tuesday July 19th

Mark your calendars! On July 19th, you'll be able to experience the Hills for the first time! They'll be open from sunrise to sunset so you can ride NYC's tallest slide all day long! Check out some photos of the Hills over on FLICKR.
