The garden at the far Eastern edge of St. Vartan's Park next to First Avenue and 35th Street was beautiful in the Spring, stayed beautiful in the early Summer, and is still blooming away in new ways now...
There are more flowers around in Midtown than you might think, but a real garden spot like this is a real rarity. Too bad more people don't see it except when hurrying up First Avenue...I am sure all the tourists on the never-ending cavalcade of tourist buses on First Avenue do not catch anything but the most fleeting glimpse of this ( they are staring at the big buildings up the Avenue and off towards the United Nations anyway).
