I have NOT had digestive problems, like some of those here, but am sorry to hear they did.
Fresh-seeming, tasty, inexpensive food. -

"Healthy Oasis" ... I'd rather go to go to a dark abyss! Walked past this place and decided to go in and grab something quick. I chose the banana/peanut butter smoothie - not a good idea!
It wasn't terrible but it certainly didn't taste great. They used frozen yogurt, skippy peanut butter in this "healthy smoothie" and an ingredient that I noticed which I don't think was suppose to be in there were little brown things floating around in the drink and I think I'm better off not knowing what it was. I immediately threw it out. And now reading how unsanitary this place is, it doesn't surprise me at all. The guy behind the counter was not much better than the smoothie he made me. I will not be returning! -

A very close friend of mine was in the hospital on Saurday from 3 am to 9 pm because he ate food from a place called Healthy Oasis on 33rd and 2nd Ave. He started throwing up blood, went to the hospital, and found out he got e-Coli from the food. He lost 12 lbs in two days, was in alot of pain, and the doctor advised him he was very close to being in ICU. Please do not eat there so this does not happen to you..........I'm jast happy to hear my friend is ok.....it's just disturbing to see him suffer due to someone's negligence......especially in a major city. Please don't go there and let this happen to you. -

Chicken Caesar wrap is good and huge, everthing else I've tried has pretty bad. Also they have poor circulation so prepare to smell like whatever they're cooking. -

happened to stop in the other day and ordered a grilled tofu burrito. It took quite a while to get it, but it was well worth the wait! Positively delicious = and very reasonably priced. -

Made a quick decision to stop in and try their 'homemade dumplings' I suppose they are homemade with the large amounts of herbs ands scallion with little amounts of actual shrimp and pork.
I guess in my mind I kinda assumed that they were pan fried? But they came in a soup container, nine of them in a salty broth. Not exactly what I had pictured but I guess I cant just make an assumption from a 'healthy sandwich' place that sells dumplings.
All in all, they arnt .... bad? But they arnt that great either. Id rather eat soup dumplings in chinatown, or mandoo bar dumplings in ktown.
Perhaps I will go back in the future for a smoothie, the price of paying $5-$7 for a smoothie is quite the turn off though. -

Not much to look at inside but the food is fresh and healthy. I like to order in from here while working from home.Listed in: Healthy Spots -

I've never actually been to the place, but I order from this place online all the time. If you like to eat healthy food made from fresh ingredients without sacrificing taste or portion size, this is the place to go (or not go, and just order in). Their burgers are very healthy, and don't drip with fat or other "juices." The platters are huge and are made from fresh ingredients. These are all good, but the burritos are what makes me keep coming back. The burritos are made with whole wheat wrap and are equivalent to chipotle burrito sizes. The brown rice is soft, and the beans are not soggy. They are also not skimpy on the meat. My favortie is the aloha burrito (chicken, brown rice, black beans, avocado, and pineapple). yum!!
p.s. the delivery lady is a sweet, little chinese lady. She's always so nice! -

A little hole in the wall place but this hole in the wall is a nice alternative to find healthy food options. Nothing much to talk about as far as decor and ambiance since it is non-existent, and there is only like two small tables and chairs in it, plus a few outside under the work scaffolding. Really better for take out in my opinion.
The menu is actually quite large and offers many options - salads, wraps, burrito's, panini's, soups, platters, egg whites wraps/pitas, smoothies, frozen yogurts, etc. Most everything is under $10, while the platters run $10-$13. They even have a pretty extensive lunch special menu in the $6-$9 range.
Service is ok and they will work with you if you have any special demands or needs with your meal. Have eaten a few things from here and it has been decent. Worth a try if you work or live in the area. Lots of vegetarian options too.
