Clyde R Chapman This coin was very well done- Both sides are awesome and the horse drawn steamer is a classic! smile emoticon
The Firetruck Guru Thank you for the complement each year as we move forward the coin will feature a different truck steamer or scene, it will be from the area of the school that receives the grant. Remember if you don't win you. An always purchase one
Jeff Campbell So awesome - These types of coins would look amazing at the fire station. In a display case.

Tim Whalen Here's the current view of that same block of Plume St. The building on the left in the old picture can be seen in the center of this picture. The only remaining building in that block.

Linda Gregg We don't have that one.
Perception vs Reality. Is this how the public, or city alderman, or the media sometimes view the fire service. Remember it's how we are perceived sometimes that becomes others reality. It is our job to project a positive attitude and image. And BTW Good Morning from The Firetruck Guru

Just let "Joe Public" play with that for ten minutes... and they'll change their tune.

This 1883 Rumsey hand engine was once part of the fire protection of the California wine country town of Healdsburg. For many years, it was a regular competitor in California Firemen's Muster Association competitions.

Katie Ed Hart As a kid we did not know the technical aspects of the fire service. I just look at it as being cool. Being a fireman was a job we thought we might perform. I will post the cover of the book shortly if I can figure out how...maybe it will get me a coin?!

Clyde R Chapman nice post!
The Firetruck Guru Clyde R Chapman I tried to find a red one with a white top
I thought it fitting this evening in lieu of all of the police unrest and shooting of officers that the Firetruck Guru say thank you to all of our law enforcement officers, that protect and serve the citizens of our country.
