Cops In The Bronx Reunite Missing Girl With Family
Police Officers Mitchel, Nunez and Ortiz were on foot posts on Boston Road in the Bronx when they heard a child crying. They observed the four-year-old girl standing in the street wearing only pajamas and slippers.
“We walked over and I immediately picked her up," said Officer Mitchel. "I have a three-year-old son at home and it was really cold."
Family, friends and colleagues gathered in Police Headquarters today to recognize the hard work and dedication of members of the NYPD. Uniformed and civilian members of the Department walked across the stage of the auditorium in 1 Police Plaza to receive certificates of promotion from Police Commissioner Bratton.
Join us in congratulating all those promoted and wish them all the best in their assignments.
