A new film explores the infamous 2011 case of Raymond Zack, who walked deliberately into San Francisco Bay and drowned as police and firefighters watched from the beach.
The 33-minute documentary uses audio of the actual 911 calls from the 2011 incident.

Brian S Aside from doing psych evaluations on every applicant, there really isn't much you can do to keep them out. We aren't the only profession with them, we just tend to get the most attention because of the moral standards we have. We just have to make sure we do what we can to watch for the signs and report it.

The grant has been earmarked as follows: $552,058 for planning and training, $1.4 million for equipment, $49,000 for organization and $109,960 to cover management and administrative costs. Most of the $1.4 million earmarked for equipment will go toward the purchase of body armor, helmets and other protective gear.
San Bernadino County will allocate the grant to 62 agencies countywide.

Pending federal regulations threaten a longstanding practice that has allowed EMS personnel to administer controlled substances to patients who, for example, are suffering with severe pain or experiencing seizures. This practice will soon be prohibited unless the nation’s Controlled Substances Act is amended accordingly.
