HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania – Body armor is credited for saving a Life Team EMS member from serious injury during a domestic assault call.
FOX 43 reports that on Wednesday, Life Team EMS was sent to Hall Manor apartment where they attempted to contact and treat an elderly patient before police had arrived. Juanee Crawford lunged at the EMS crew with a knife in her hand stating “I’m going to kill you.”
She lunged at one EMT stabbing him in the chest and slashing him at the waist. Fortunately the body armor did not allow the blade to penetrate the skin.
Crawford continued slashing at the Life team member causing damage to a radio holder and belt before she fled the scene.
Dauphin County Police have issued a warrant for Crawford’s arrest, charging her with criminal attempt homicide. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers of Dauphin County at 1-800-262-3030. You can also contact Dauphin County Police Dispatch at 717-558-6900.
Anyone with information is eligible for a reward up to $2,000.
