St Stephen's night is a great time to go out, just remember unplug everything before you go out, candles out, and have a plan to get home safe. #HappyChristmas pics: some of our calls in the last 48 hrs
Last day for 2 of D Watch's finest. Dermot Hughes is retiring after 30 years service & our no.1 badge Noel Hosback is finishing after 42 years with DFB. It's been a pleasure to work with these gentlemen and we not only wish them the best but thank them for their time with us. 👋
Congratulations to the students of lycee Emile Baudot who finished their training as firefighters today. French ambassador to Ireland His Exellency Jean-pierre Thébault along with Chief Fire Officer Fleming & T/O Gerry Stanley met the graduates in our training centre. A fire evacuation drill was also performed at the French Embassy.
Last night crews from 2 stations attended a building fire on Saint Catherine's Lane. The 1st 999 call at 2011 reported smoke issuing and 3 fire appliances and 1 turntable ladder were sent to the scene. Our turntable ladder was used to deliver water from above and after some protracted firefighting the incident was closed at 2352. Thanks to Elaine McCahill, John McNally & Seb Kaczorowski for photos.
