Our Season Starts this Saturday!

Welcome the start of summer with a visit to New York City’s shared space for art and play. Join us for our opening weekend festivities, including an activity-packed Family Fun Day and sneak peek tours of the Hills. The first ferries leave Manhattan at 10:00 am and Brooklyn at 11:00 am – we’ll see you there!

Family Fun Day

Sunday, May 29: 11am - 4pm

The Hills are Alive!

The Hills open July 19, but you can get a sneak peek tour!
Rising 25-70 feet, the Hills offer lush rolling landscapes, grassy overlooks, a permanent installation by artist Rachel Whiteread, and the tallest slides in NYC! Join us for free hard-hat tours May 28 & 29 at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. The first 2 tours each day will be led by Leslie Koch, President & CEO of the Trust for Governors Island. Meet at Liggett Arch. Limited to 40 people on a first come, first served basis. Closed toe shoes required. 

Jazz Age Lawn Party

June 11 & 12: 11am - 5pm
Transcend time to celebrate the music and zeitgeist of the Jazz Age at this 11th annual lawn party. Grab your parasol and your best flapper finery, show off your Charleston in a dance contest (or take a lesson!), sip vintage cocktails, enjoy live jazz performances and more!
