NYC Fire Wire Ladder 83 is located in the Westerleigh section of Staten Island. A lot of firefighters from Staten Island, live there. Don't know if he lives in SI or not.

News that's not in the news for some reason: Yesterday, a train departing from Penn Station was sent to an emergency stop at Jamaica Station when an individual decided to lay out his prayer mat in the middle of a crowded train and praise allah. The train crew kept passengers calm and the MTA & NYPD were waiting for him at Jamaica Station. He couldn't provide identification, however, the scene was cleared by PD. No danger was found.
REMEMBER: If you see something, say something. Do not question your character over your safety, you will not be labeled.

Jeff Utz I am not sure why this would make the news. It is a gentleman who had bad judgment. He was wrong to spread out his pray mat on a crowded subway car. I am sure that he could have planned his trip so that he was not dirsupting a train ride for other passengers.

Dan Ham Hey Lib, It's called being a human being. America is about a country of accepting, however, when your extremists are flying planes into buildings, lobbing heads off and now mass shooting, why don't you be a human being and understand we have every right to be startled and defensive when you do this. So, yes, this is news. And that individual is lucky nothing happened to him.

Thank god a good guy had a gun; he stopped the bad guy with a gun.

Eddie Bermudez Thank GOD the Police Officer is safe, but your comment is misleading... This "good guy" just happens to be an off-duty Police Officer who, we expect, is trained on how to react in unexpected confrontations with bad guys. To imply that he is safe BECAUSE he had a gun is not right. Without the training, who knows how this might have turned out...

Did you see The Daily Show last night? The New York City Firefighter Brotherhood Foundation, a foundation ran by FDNY firefighters, Jon Stewart and Fealgood Foundation with John Feal have been fighting long and hard for the re-authorization of the Zadroga Act to ensure our 9/11 1st responders aren't left to care for themselves. Jon Stewart completely calls out Senator Mitch McConnell and his 2 faces. It was funny and sad at the same time. This is our politicians. These are people who we elect to represent us, yet, they continue to fail us. Let's get the hashtag trending against Mitch McConnell and our corrupt politicians ‪#‎WorstResponders‬ . They couldn't fill the shoes of those who answered the call on 9/11.
In case you misssed it last night Here is Kenny Specht with Jon Stewart ‪#‎Worstresponders‬

Zach Isom Not sure why health care for new York City fire department is the responsibility of podunk Idaho... shouldn't this have been paid for by...new York city? 8 million people in the richest city in the world should be able to afford to cover the medical expenses of their fire department.
