THE VILLAGE VOICE SEEKS SUBMISSIONS FOR NEW READER-GENERATED FEATURE
We know you have stories to tell. And we want to publish them. The Village Voice is preparing to launch Omnibus, a weekly feature generated by our readers, for our readers.
We're not putting out a call for pitches, nor are we handing out assignments. We want to see completed nonfiction submissions that tell local tales. Do you have an essay, a tirade, or a fully reported story about life in New York City? We want to read it. If we like what we see, we'll contact you and put it in print and run it online.
Our goal is to run stories (mostly) as is — though we likely won’t be able to resist asking you to help us fact-check and edit for length or clarity. We’ll also pay you a minimum of $100 per article. Email submissions to Editorial-Dept@VillageVoice.com or tap out our address on your trusty Selectric:
