Officers assigned to the 30 Precinct in upper Manhattan arrested a man and recovered a loaded revolver early Sunday morning with the help of their NYPD smartphones. Late Sunday morning members of the NYPD's Harbor Unit were on patrol in the vicinity of the Brooklyn Bridge when officers observed a distressed hawk in the water. The officers approached the bird under the Brooklyn Bridge and saw that it was flapping its wings, but could not take flight.
