“I feel like a part of me was lost on 9/11. Until I visited the Museum and saw the dramatic artifacts like the Slurry Wall I was not able to talk about the experience.” –Adriana Maluendas, 9/11 survivor. http://911memorial.io/1OTUIPf

Rosalie Giasullo Rau My husband is a survivor from the North Tower and spoke very little about his escape until we visited the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. It was cathartic. I am happy that the Museum gave you strength.

Miguel Camargo When I visited the Memorial recently, a volunteer lady explained to me that the Slurry Wall was the big hero on 9/11 because it's great engineering prevented that part of Manhattan getting flooded.

Standing 36-feet tall and weighing 58-tons, the Last Column became a symbol of resilience after September 11, 2001 and can be seen in Foundation Hall at the 9/11 Memorial Museum adorned with the original markings, pictures and tributes.

Henry C Mak You can buy tickets online at $24 each person. It will take you at least 3 hours to go through the whole museum, which is 7 floor below plaza level. The Historical Exhibition is the main part of the museum on the foot print of the north tower, consisted of 10,000 artifacts, both small and medium sizes.

Queens native and FDNY Firefighter John Vigiano lived in West Islip with his wife and their two daughters. On 9/11, Vigiano responded to the towers. Also responding on 9/11 was his brother, NYPD Detective Joseph Vigiano. Both perished. Today is John’s birthday, he would have been 51 years old.

Stella Lombardo Two brothers, two heros. They sacrificed their lives to save others. So very sad that so many innocent people lost their lives including my son who was working on the 104th floor of the north tower. God bless them all and give them peace and happiness in heaven.
On Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, take a moment to honor the lives lost on December 7, 1941, a day that will live in infamy.
