Scott Henderson As a UK firefighter & married to a paramedic ( the 2 services are completely separate in the UK ) I worry more about my wife working alone in a response car than she does about me working as part of a crew.

Fire chief: "It's not lost on our guys what time of year it is and when they see things like this type of fire situation then we can take steps to try and save those things."
The fire started in the attic of the home, because of overheated electrical wiring from too many space heaters.

Steve Denny Been there, done that. Three times my department has responded to residential structure fires around Christmas and each time we have managed to put out the fire and save the gifts. It is an extra special feeling when we can accomplish this feat. Great job to all involved in this one.
