Yes, It is expensive but it is conveniently on my block and the produce is very fresh.  I haven't tried their deli so this review is just for the groceries.  Their breakfast sandwiches seem like a good deal.

This is the go to place when shopping for my sisters' home.  They get a lot of the organic foods they love here, and they have lots of ripe fruits and veggies-fresh and yummy!  They also have a bunch of the specialty cheeses we don't usually find elsewhere.
I do understand that it's a little over priced ($10 for pickles?) but I also know we're in the East Village, and not in Chinatown.  If we were in Chinatown, I would have saved a lot of money-in general...but I digress again.
Overall, Gracefully is convenient and they have a lot of good produce and dairy.  They never disappoint!

Ordered a "Godfather" hero sandwich from the deli.  It had less meat on it than a subway sandwich!!  For $7, I was very disappointed. I should have known when I walked in, because everybody sitting down eating was a tiny asian girl.   If you're a man, avoid this deli.

This is one of the best places to buy fresh produce in NYC other than the fruit stands.

If you're looking for consistently ripe fruits and veggies, ready to eat as soon as you get home, this is THE place to go.

Also a TON of alternative grocery options for vegan, organic, soy, gluten free etc. And a great little deli. This is my neighborhood SPOT!

    This place. Is awesome.
Healthy foods, friendly service, diverse quick serve menu, and recent welcoming renovations.

a 5th star would be handed to over with more competitive pricing.

Live in the area, but can't make it down to the Whole Foods on Bowery, or over to the one in Chelsea? Go here.

It's expensive in here but what you're paying for is gourmet like food, managed to pick up some specialty Duck Liver Mousse with Cognac and some organic items. It is a very diverse mid-sized store, well organized and has a very decent variety one would not find at other markets like Mario Batali's pasta sauce and over 25 different kinds of olive oil and cheeses. They have like 10 varieties of the Kettle potato chip. Prepared foods include heated foods, a deli, make your own salad and sushi. There's an whole aisle devoted to beverages, beer included. The frozen section carries pizza to ice cream and casseroles. I just like that it's super clean, organized and carry so many things that a normal market has and then some. If you're looking for items you wouldn't find at your average market, this is the spot.

I won't go back and will advise people not to go there. things are pricey and yeah, they have lots of weird asian products, but they are lacking in the normal everyday grocery items you would actually need. For example, their meat section is pathetic. I was looking for tilapia and i found one piece packed in a box for 5 or 6 dollars...I was like are you kidding me...

the staff is mean. a staff was blocking my way so i asked could you get me the chicken broth, and he acted impatiently. Another staff was putting some bottles of milk into the fridge and he moved so fast to the music that i thought he was high. at the checkout place, the woman is mean and started the person behind me when i was still checking out....

there are better places to go to in the neighborhood. The only reason that this place is not a 1 star to me is that they have some weird asian stuff, which could be interesting to some people.

I would probably give Gracefully 3.5 stars if possible, but I decided to round up to four stars for "convenience of location" because I literally I live next door.

    Pros:
-The deli/prepared food/salad bar is super convenient.  They have a good selection and the people behind the counter are fast and friendly.
-A pretty extensive selection of products considering the size of the store.  They offer a lot of higher-end brands, and plenty of alternatives for those who prefer organic, gluten free, etc.
-They are very efficient in checkout.  There isn't a whole lot of extra space in the store, so a long line of people waiting to check out creates a traffic problem...but overall, I've been very impressed with their speediness in getting people through the line.

    Cons:
-While it's nice that they carry higher-end products, it's not a good place to go when, for example, you want to bake someone a Funfetti-caliber birthday cake...because you're most likely going to get stuck buying a $10 box of gourmet cake mix and an $8 jar of organic frosting.  If you're looking for a cheap generic brand of any product, this is probably NOT the place to go.
-The store can be a little hard to maneuver because there is so much crammed into a small amount of space.  It's definitely not always easy to find what you're looking for.

    3.5 stars.
I find myself coming back to this grocery store to get most of my lunch needs when I work around the area. Good variety at the deli, and prepared foods (except for their soup, rice chicken soup is pretty lame in my cooking book, because it is so amateur).

I would skip the coffee. Not so good.

The store is very clean, and organized. Some pop music is always playing the speakers when I walk in. The staff are always pleasant specially the boys behind the deli counter. The cashier seems to be cranky most of the time although verbally she is still polite.

Being a frugal shopper, you can really assemble a healthy and filling lunch if you pick through the items here with $8 or under.

Grocery wise, it seems to have a good selection for a small citi store. Price wise, it really varies. Some items are fair, others are overpriced but if you live right next to it, then you are obviously paying for the convinience.

I really liked Gracefully for their awesome sandwiches. I went there yesterday to get a sandwich and dessert. The food had mold!! It was so disgusting you cant tell until you unwrap the food.

I went to get my money back and the older Asian lady was extremely offensive. She wanted to charge me for the food again, when I  told her it had mold and was returning it she literally told me to "move". (Times like those I wish I was the loud person type to make a scene and say what I want to say at the right time). The lady gave me the money and didn't say anymore. Her nonchalant attitude made wonder how often this happens and how often food in the display refrigerator is replaced.

I've had bad experiences elsewhere but an apology goes a long way. Mold+rudeness makes its way to a bad yelp review.

I think from now on I'll just cross the street and get some pizza or a bagel. If not 14th st always has good options for lunch :-)

Gracefully is a fairly standard "gourmet grocer" and is probably the best grocer in the area.  They have a much wider selection of food than it might seem at first glance.  Specifically good and high quality:

Fresh Produce (great array of fruits and vegetables)
Deli Counter (prepared food & great sandwiches)
    Selection of Organic Food

Gracefully isn't cheap but it's not really overpriced either.  Basically this is where I do most of my shopping and I think that's true of a lot of people in the area.

My only complaint about Gracefully is that their meat and fish selection is pretty slim.  I suggest the Gramercy meat market over on 2nd avenue (btwn 22nd & 22rd) to fill that need.

I haven't purchased groceries from Gracefully (it's a little pricey for me), but it's not a bad place for the occasional "gourmet" snack to-go. They have a great deli counter and an array of prepared foods.

When I'm not in a rush, I enjoy sitting at the counter that lines the store front window. It's a nice way to snack, relax and people watch.

if you're browsing yelp, you already know the value eating, and eating well.  This is the place to shop for groceries, but you gotta be smart about what you buy.  Most items are more expensive than what I'm used to paying, but it is well worth the price.  A notable exception is milk.  Please, I'm not going to drop $4.50 for a quart of milk because some cow in the lush valleys of upstate ny was massaged and lathered in the finest oirganic oils since birth.  I'll just go next door to walgreens and pay 1/4 that price for normal hormone free milk.

but having said that, I really enjoy shopping here.  They're always playing some hip usher or omarion song, which makes me want to dance and glide from aisle to aisle.  I don't though, because people might think I'm having an epileptic seizure.

    THEY SELL SRIRACHA!

Gracefully: a ridiculously cheesy name for a seriously cool place. I love the selection of prepared salads and sushi, particularly the carb-less naruto rolls, the Vietnamese summer rolls, and the mayo-free tuna salad. The specialty drinks and shelved dry goods, especially the sauces, are pretty awesome, and I love perusing the various "healthy" snacks (read: organic and/or pretty, not low-cal), chocolates, and frozen goods. I've never ordered a salad or sandwich from the deli counter, but the offerings seem decent. I wouldn't go here for fresh meat or seafood, as the selection is very limited, but there's a good supply of pricey produce. (I choose to support my local fruit cart man.)

The employees at the register are there to take your money and bag your purchases. They don't talk. They don't smile. Keeps the line moving, though, eh? Prices are what I'd expect - not cheap, but not a rip-off - just depends on what you get. I've found many things to be cheaper here than at Gristedes a couple blocks up.

Lastly, the counter at the front rocks - perfect place to people-watch the Gramercy geriatric crowd hobbling by while you sit and sample some of the yummy, fresh, "graceful" (??) goodies you just bought!

Don't be fooled, yes this is a grocery store. BUT, it also contains the best deal for a great homemade lunch for those working near by! You can't beat their special: two main entree's (assortment of beef, chicken, fish, pork, dumplings, and more) with choice of rice, noodles, or vegatables. All of this for $6.50! The portions of one lunch special and easily fill two light eaters.

Choose this healthy alternative. Food made fresh daily, similar to that of a Whole Food's setup, however with unlike prices!
