FLUSHING, NYI've been here twice, and enjoyed every visit :)
The cafe itself has never been too crowded when I visited (maybe 2-3 people sitting at most) and the manager is so friendly that I felt instantly welcomed.
The first time, he recommended a Bresaola Sandwich, which has "dry beef". It wasn't my favorite sandwich, but it was worth trying something new. It wasn't bad, I guess I realized I don't like dry beef (in between soft and jerky)...The greens tasted fresh and wholesome, though.
The second time, I had the crudites sandwich, which was excellent and guilt-free (cheap, too! 5.95 I think). The sauce inside reminded me of mustard/wasabi, which kept the healthy, potentially-bland sandwich zesty. I had that with the iced tea (their coffee is better), and finished the meal off with a dark chocolate macaron. The macarons here are DELICIOUS. Not sure if they cook them on their own, but they taste like they've been freshly baked :)
The cafe itself is pretty petite, but has plenty of tables. On days with good weather, they keep the door open, so you get a nice, warm breeze while you sit nibbling.
So yes, Cafe Green is definitely recommended as a lunch spot! -

Jersey City, NJI work nearby and go for lunch almost once a week here. Their macaroons are very delicious. I have tried many items and all have turned out to be good.Never miss on a macaroon if you ever plan to eat here. I really like their food!! -

Gramercy, Manhattan, NYThis is a nifty little sandwich shop. There are plenty of vegetarian options, but I like meat in my sandwiches. So for me, there were just the basic ham, roast beef, etc choices. That's okay though bc they offer avocado in all of them and I love that.
They get kudos though bc the guy there was extremely nice to me and recommended the best macarons. I loved the pistachio one even though I normally don't like pistachio and the dark chocolate one is great as well. I'm looking forward to coming back here and trying the other flavors and also the iced coffee that all these other yelpers are recommending. -

San Francisco, CAWhen I arrived in the area a bit early for a babysitting gig I wanted to find a small, quiet place to eat lunch and hang out until I was due at work. Cafe Green was the perfect solution! The staff was very friendly and my turkey panini with fresh mozzarella, tomato & avocado was great! I stayed long after finishing my sandwich and never felt rushed to leave! Great, quick place to grab a meal if you're in the area! Also, they have some killer looking macaroons that I'm regretting not purchasing! I will certainly go back if I find myself in that part of town!!! -

New York, NYWe live nearby in the Peter Cooper Complex and we always passed it by. But my wife dropped by one day for a lunch sandwich and she's been coming back. I finally tried the pannini's and they were really good!
They also have a huge selection of macarones. Service and Food were excellent. I will definitely be coming back. Plus I really like to support the local mom and pop places. -

Bronx, NYThis place has the best iced coffee!
The service is really friendly. The main Bengali lady in the cash register was so sweet and had nothing but smiles. The manager made me the try the crudites sandwich ( a popular one he says) and I really did not like it. Maybe I like a significant amount of meat in my sandwich because this sandwich tasted like a salad with every single green you can think of plus a boiled egg. After finding out that I did not like it, the manager waived the bill and apologized.
Next time I definitely wanna try their macaroons. They have a ton to choose from and I'm dying to try anything with nutella. Super neat place, and would not mind coming here more often to try their other sandwiches and paninis. -

Today, I came in for a coffee and I was so surprised at how well the owner/manager knew his regulars and their orders. Overall, very much a neighborhood place. Good coffee and such a warm inviting place (even though it may not look like it on the outside..or the inside).
I'm only going off coffees and macarons but I will try their food menu when I stop by next time! It's small but inviting for your quick needs - coffee, pastries, and paninis. It's no-new-york-city-hustle-bustle-kinda place if that's what you're looking for. -

New York, NYThis place was all about French macarons and they serve these little pretty delicate biscuits with pride :) Oui Oui Merci *_*
I wanted to try every flavor, but so many different ones and so little time... there was also a limit to how many my tummy can handle at one time. I picked 3 to share with my partner in crime coworker :)....
1) Cassis...my favorite color ^_^ Purple! Loved it!
2) Almond wedding...almondy goodness. .
3) Creme Brulee....it was good too...but a little too sweet.
....the owner threw in one green one and asked us to guess what flavor it was....and by this time I was getting a little quesy from the sugar, but how could we refuse?
4) Olive oil ...actually this one was my favorite! It had a hint of the olive plant's bitterness to balance out the sweetness.
.....Oh oops, I forgot to tell you that I also had a savory lunch here as well :) Got a little carried away with the sweets. #_#
I tried their caprese panini and their spinach and mushroom quiche.
I really liked the quiche...the puff pastry was not too thick and the filling was filled with the spinachimushroomigoodness :)..yeah I made that a word @_^ -

Decor: 3/5
-one large table with a bench as the seats, a bit unusual.
-3-4 smaller tables for 2.
Service: 3.5/5
-I was offered some water but he forgot it a couple times.
Sandwich: 4/5
-Crudités ($4.75): hearts of romaine, Avocado, carrots, beets, tomatoes, onion, egg, olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette.
-I tried this based on Yelper Jeanette Y.'s review and quick tip.
-Opt for no onions because its hella strong. The one upside is that it cleared up my sinuses. The downside is it was so strong I couldn't really taste the other ingredients, especially the avocado and eggs.
Macaroons: 5/5
-I asked the worker if they ever had Earl grey and he said no. I was SO disappointed especially when I read Yelper Shilpa P. was able to try it.
-I tried the Matcha Green Tea and Pistachio. Both were crunchy, chewy and delicious. I recommend the Matcha Green Tea over the Pistachio.
-At $2.50 each, the two cost more than my sandwich!
I hate you Cafe Green. You've unleased the Macaroon monster within me and now I'll be frequenting more often to try all your Macaroons. -

Sunnyvale, CAYES CRUDITES SANDWICH IS SOOO YUM! and they have SO MANY other wonderful options to try. but the crudites sandwich is so satisfying to me that i haven't even gotten tired of it enough to order something new. There is something delicious and healthy here for everyone's taste, i'm sure of it!
Plus, after (or before) your healthy meal, you can treat urself with a delicious authentic french macarone. I recommend the caramel or wedding almond. Oh So Satisfying!
this place is a gem, and when the sun is out, they have a back patio for additional seating. what more can you ask for. -

This cafe is now becoming one of my go to spot for a quick lunch during the work week.
After a co-worker recommended this cafe, I decided to check it out and boy was it a great find. Although the cafe is small, its wifi friendly and it has a decent amount of seating for their patrons to chill and to enjoy their lunch. The service is friendly and the food is served quickly, so the waiting time is minimal, especially if you're on the go.
Lately, I've been completely addicted to their Buffalo Mozzarella Panini with tomatoes. Their mozzarella is always thick and milky, the bread is fresh and their tomatoes are always sweet. The sandwich is simply made, perfect for lunch and the taste itself is priceless...metaphorically speaking of course! -

Brooklyn, NYComplete meh, just meh. Walking around for lunch and landed in this place randomly. I got the roast beef sandwich. It was basically roast beef, tomato and mozzarella and romaine. I am not sure whether they included the dijon mustard in my sandwich-- I did not taste any mustard. Sandwich was very bland but edible. I've had way better roast beef sandwiches. Not worth it for $6.95 plus tax.
They have a whole display of macarons, pretty good variety of flavors including passionfruit. It was also pretty empty considering that it was lunch time. -
Review from Dan Q.
macaron madness!
But from talking with one of the staff, they actually don't make the macarons there. It is made at some other location
[size]
pretty big and sturdy. About 1.5" in diameter
[shell]
The shell is pretty dense and sweet. I'm sort of wondering if it was made with the Italian technique (sweeter) instead of the French technique. Also it is a bit gooey inside because of the filling leaking into the shell (kinda normal, but a sign of a macaron made earlier)
[filling]
pretty good variations.
It is about 2.50 a macaron (!), but when I wanted to try one, he gave me one on the house to convince me to buy more. It succeeded. -

Arlington, TXThe guy who works here is soo nice. Paul H. and I were looking for the elusive Earl Grey macaron and had trouble finding it. He helped us even when it was past the closing time. Awesome service.
The Earl Grey one definitely tasted like the tea. I wished it was a little more tender but The flavor bomb made up for it. I practically inhaled the caramel one. It was a little sweet but the texture was so incredibly addicting and before I even take a picture, it was already in my belly. -

Oakland, CAOH Cafe Green, how I love you.
The CRUDITES sandwich is awesome, the white tuna sandwich is delicious, the roast beef is good too. The only complaint I have is the wait for food. Does it really take 10 minutes to make a sandwich?
Anyways, I still love your food, 10 minute wait or not. I don't feel guilty when I eat here because its HEALTHY!
PS. Did I mention I love their CRUDITES sandwich? It satisfies my taste buds! -
Review from William C.
Manhattan, NYStopped by here because of the good reviews and ordered the crudites sandwich. It was pretty tasty and surprisingly filling for a vegetarian option. As I was waiting for my sandwich, I started making small talk with the owner about the macarons. He gave me a description of each one (there for about 20 different kinds)! They were a bit too pricey for me ($2.50 for a teeny cookie), so I declined, but he started giving me free samples. He was uber friendly, but also extremely talkative. I actually had to inch towards the door in order to leave after I got my sandwich, because he still wanted to chat.
Overall, a nice friendly spot with a hidden garden. I don't know if they have wifi, but it would be a nice spot to have a macaron and a coffee in the garden. I would definitely go back if I lived nearby.
