Visit one of ‪#‎London‬'s largest fire stations at ‪#‎Paddington‬ open day tomorrow between 11am and 4pm. The open day features a number of events and activities throughout the day and gives visitors the chance to meet their local firefighters, as well as a line rescue demonstration. So if you're in central London make sure you stop by.

Green champion and all-round environmental superhero, firefighter Simon Jakeman, was invited to attend the Queen's 90th Birthday celebration on Sunday on behalf of the World Wildlife Fund. Simon is on a year's detachment from firefighting duties in order to perform his green champion role, where he teaches firefighters how to help save the planet.

Firefighters tackled a big blaze that started in a builders' yard in Wapping this afternoon. The smoke could be seen for miles and fire crews worked extremley hard to bring the fire under control. Thankfully no one was injured http://bit.ly/1OzpF9T

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John 'Jack' Corbett who was recently honoured for his role in the Brigade's history. Jack who was 105 years old died peacefully in his sleep. It was a priviledge to honour the great man two weeks ago and our thoughts are with his family at this time.
