FDNY Celebrates Martin Luther King Day

The FDNY honored the memory of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., with a tribute celebration at FDNY Headquarters on Jan. 16.
Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro and Deputy Commissioner Pamela Lassiter were among the many distinguished speakers at the event commemorating the work of the civil rights leader.
Students from the FDNY High School also performed a powerful rendition of the “I Have a Dream” speech.
Numerous Department members also signed up to volunteer in their communities for a day of service on Martin Luther King Day (Jan 19). Learn more at http://www.nycservice.org/
