TD bank seems to offer a lot of services and has a bunch of branches in Manhattan, all of which get good reviews, though--
They have a newish one in Kips Bay that has no reviews yet, that is the one I was really looking for--
This seems to get worse reviews than most though...but what the hell, I am no lover of banks anyway

New York, NYIt's a TD bank after all! Most convenient bank! They have a convenient ATMs and
I've never had to wait once in the year I've been
going there. No shady people inside the bank,
but you might watch your back depending on
who's outside the door. I like free pens and the fact that they are closing at 8PM and opened on Saturdays and Sundays -

This morning, some guy cut the line right in front of me so I looked over at security guard who was 3 feet away from me who was watching the whole thing. He said nothing, did nothing and looked away. wtf?
Also, the lines are always long and you can see bunch of tellers just chitchatting but only have 1 or 2 working the window. -

Brooklyn, NYI needed a certified check today as well as cash for myself. I went into the branch and there was not much of a line.
I get to the front and one of the tellers lets me know that I must write a withdrawal slip for the amount of the certified check, giving her also the name of the payee on the back and then she will print out the check.
She also gave me another withdrawal slip for the cash I wanted after I hedged a bit, trying to decide if I would prefer to get the cash from the ATM. however I needed art least 2 $50 bills so I opted for the teller withdrawal. After she handle my transactions, she gave me my check and my cash as well as my two receipt s for the transactions. She was kind enough to put my certified check in an envelope and my cash in a another envelope.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Your basic TD. The lobby with the ATMs could be a little cleaner but I've never had problems here. Convenient location & haven't had to deal with swarms of people to get to the ATM where you can make deposits.1 Previous Review: Show all »

New York, NYMinus 1 star - there's a rule now that if you're withdrawing $ from your checking acct you need to personally ask one of the workers to give you the slip to fill out. They don't hv this slip w/ the others and they only gv you 1 at a time. You also have to sign this in front of the teller. Not a big deal but other banks don't do this. Isn't an ID picture enough?
