In this case Yelp says it is good--VERY good ( "A hidden gem," one person says)
However it is new and not a whole lot of reviews, but I feel enough

Manhattan, NYI have been dying to go into Jamie's ever since it opened... I live right in the neighborhood snd watched them build it!
And the neighborhood buzz is -- it's pretty amazing....
Well, I finally stopped in for a drink (that's 1 drink).... And many cocktails later, plus some amazing food -- I left their BIGGEST FAN. When you walk in the place is all candle lit with beautiful wood. The bar is also really good-looking and the bartender (Mark or Mack), the guy with the coolest glasses I've ever seen, made me feel comfortable, immediately.
He suggested the Sangria. He said it was a great batch and all the fruit had been soaking for the perfect time... I couldn't resist -- and he was right. Best Sangria I've had in years. I wound up having 3 before I moved on to another recommendation from the bartender, The Refresher. A watermelon and mint cocktail made with super fresh ingredients. Incredible... I expected it might be too sweet because of the watermelon but it was a perfect balance.
After 2 of the specialty cocktails I decided I might need some food... Without any hesitation the bartender ordered me the bowl of mussels in a gin / cilantro broth. The mussels were super fresh and the broth was the best I ever had... Even though the bowl was huge, it was soooo good, I wanted to eat more, so I ordered the Tuna Tar-tar with lime and ginger -- blew me away!
After that I was sold... This place is the real deal and so close to my apartment. After my tuna, Mark took me on a tour of the beautiful dining room and the very sexy lounge. They did a great job designing the place.
When I got back to my bar stool there was a bowl of meatballs waiting for me -- the bartender ordered us the most moist meatballs I've had in NYC -- Brilliant. He also poured us big glass amazing cabernet. It was the perfect end to an amazing restaurant experience. Thanks Guys You're The Best. Can't wait to come back. -

Manhattan, NYCame here for happy hour on a Friday to celebrate a coworker's last day. We arrived at about 6pm and the place was almost completely empty... but that was great since we were just 4 girls looking to sit and have a few glasses of sangria. The menu looked delicious, and they have $1 mussel during happy hour, but we stuck to drinks.
The sangria was very good and contained a lot of fruit. My only qualm is that when we ordered a second round the waiter took our glasses and filled them from a pitcher and gave us all very different amounts. My friend sitting next to me got a very full glass while I got 3-4oz less than she did (it was noticeable).
Our waiter was very attentive (but not overbearing) and very personable. The owner, who seemed very involved with every detail of the business, even treated us to free shots (woo!). The waiter took one with us which was a lot of fun, and the server assistant came around often to fill our water glasses.
Ambiance and decor is beautiful. This would be a wonderful place to come with a few friends for after work drinks, or for a dinner date. I loved the dark wood and the large arrangement of white roses on the bar, it made the place feel very classy and upscale.
Will definitely be going back soon! -

Chelsea, Manhattan, NYVery friendly bartender, gave us free shots and a free round of sangria. Their $1 oysters and clams are amazing. Definitely my favorite spot for happy hour in the area. -

Manhattan, NYThis place is hidden gem! This IS the definition of a hidden gem. They have a year round outdoor sitting area with heaters during the cold months. Gorgeous dining rooms and amazing lounge!
The food is literally fresh brough daily, either picked up by the owner or his family to ensure the best of the local NYC seafood. The entrees and drinks are not not just delish but also perfectly portioned!
Happy hour is great! $5 dollars goblets of homemade fresh sangria cannot be better.
The service is superb, truly unbeatable. They are kind, friendly, generous. The server, bartenders, chef up yo the owner are amazing.
On Thursday nights they have a great acoustic classic rock band that takes the ambiance to a new high!
This is the new IT SPOT of midtown east! -

San Diego, CAAmazing place, highly recommend. Arrived early evening after red-eye from west coast and a lengthy day in the city. . Wanted a drink and a quick bite. Wonderful cocktails and food, mussels were astounding. New York is famous for both good drinks and food however in addition to Jamie's meeting or exceeding anything you will find elsewhere in the wonderful city, Jamie's staff, friendliness and owner provide the differentiator that separates it from other wonderful drinking and dining establishments in Manhattan. Enjoy!!!!! -

Manhattan, NYGreat new spot in Midtown East. Went today for happy hour and enjoyed $5 sangria and the amazing gin-cilantro mussels. Would love to come back for dinner, as the full menu looks excellent. Jamie, the owner, was extremely friendly and chatted with us at the table. -

New York, NYI hosted my husband's 40th birthday party here and the service, food and drinks were all excellent. We got to use their cheek lounge room for pre-dinner cocktail hour followed by a fabulous dinner in the main dinning room. This place is such a great value. The service is excellent and they go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable. Great cocktails and wine list. Great music too.
