This has become my go-to pet store since their location on 51st/1st never has the food I feed my cat in stock anymore.
Good prices, friendly employees. Be sure to sign up for their VIP card! -

New York, NYThis store is very close to my place, so because of the convenience I ended up going there a couple of times. Yes the person on the front desk is most of the time on the phone, but she takes a break to assist you if you need.
They have pretty much what a need for my dog, healthy food, some healthy treats, toys, pee pads. So I am good with that!
If you want to get a carrier, a cool bed or accessories for your dog, better go someplace else. -

New York, NYDecent selection but my third or fourth choice in the neighborhood. They could have a lot more with the space that they have. Also, beware the cat, which literally chased my dog down the aisle, popped out in front of her and started swiping at her face. -

Manhattan, NYJust opened right across the street and they have a GREAT selection of treats-- could it be more convenient?!? It's like Lucky and Duke can see Peter Luger's from their window. -

Manhattan, NYI am super spoiled by my former holistic pet supply store in Chicago, but so far this is the best one I have found in my NYC neighborhood. I've only been here a few times since they just opened, but they have an excellent selection of holistic foods for my two kitties--who usually dine on Weruva, BFF (made by Weruva), or Wellness. Litter & Leashes had all three, and they had the large cans of Wellness, which are much cheaper and difficult to find other than online! They have a better selection and a larger store than Furry Paws on 1st, (which didn't have BFF and has a limited selection of other canned cat foods, and is often out of stock of EVO dry), and I think they are less expensive. Hoorah! That said, they sadly also carry "expensive" brands of pet food that have animal-by products and other crap in them that aren't healthy for your pet, which forces me to leave off one star. -

Brooklyn, NYPretty mediocre. The staff is friendly when they are not on the phone, and the selection is OK, nothing great. This place really is for food only. -

New York, NYJust opened; it had a good selection of soft toys and surely my 2 dogs will approve!
