New York, NYNice nice place. They really seem like they care about you, and they take their time asking questions, which I really respect. -

This is my first acupuncture experience in the USA and I can say it is so far the best I have had! I was introduced to Yinova through a friend and I made my first consultation this past Friday. When I first walked in, I was immediately greeted by the front desk and he had me answer a short survey about my basic info and health on their iPad. It is very high-tech I should say.
Then, Amanda saw me in one of the cozy rooms that looks like a spa room but is meant for acupuncture. She asked me a lot of detailed healthy questions and my lifestyle and what my main concerns and reasons why I was there. She was very gentle and attentive to my needs.
Based on my condition, she was using gentle treatment with me and I lied for 30 minutes in the comfy bed and relaxed. She came back with a typed out recommendations for my conditions and concerns. I was really impressed! The treatment price already takes care of everything (tip) so I was pretty happy.
This is a pretty high end facility so don't expect to pay Chinatown price. You will get really attentive service, treatment and you will feel really taken care of. My shoulder pain from my desk job immediately disappeared after one session! I was so impressed!
Will definitely return for my sessions for my health!Listed in: Pampered Mommy -

Brooklyn, NYThis is my first acupuncture experience, but I've had the Yinova center in my sights since we started trying to conceive (over 3 years ago). My cycles were totally wrecked from bc pills. I was initially seeing a reproductive doctor who prescribed various pills to get my cycle right (Shorter than 60+days!) - alas over two years have passed and no baby and my cycles were still totally messed up. Absolutely frustrated and desperate I finally made the appointment.
I started going to the Yinova about three months ago, I see Mary Sabo who is my miracle worker! It's really incredible to think that I get to see my eastern doctor every week and have her really listen and do things that help. She is so warm and I feel like because of her, I can achieve my goals. I am not sure if this is the case for others, but my cycles have since gone from 60+ days to 35 days the first month, 30 the second and we're on track for a 28 day cycle!!
The Yinova center is a modern, clean, friendly space. Their approach is seeped in a deep understanding of Eastern and Western Medicine and I believe that if I had not made the choice to go here, I would still be utterly frustrated on this path of healing and hopefully getting pregnant. I cannot recommend this center enough, each person here is kind, sympathetic and wonderful and they truly are miracle workers!
Go, you will not be disappointed and you will get better! -

San Francisco, CAIf you've been following my Yelp reviews, then you know I've been having some issues with my immune system; specifically my sinuses. After trying every other recourse, my Mom finally said that I should go see an acupuncturist and see if that would help. Desperate, I did a little bit of research and up popped the YinOva Center: highly rated AND specializes in women's health? Sign me up! One of our family friend's who is an acupuncturist also said that anyone who specializes in infertility treatment is at the top of their game (but don't you worry, I'm not looking into kiddies just yet. Methinks I need a boyfriend first before going down that road).
I made an appointment via their website and they called me promptly that afternoon and were able to schedule me in the next day to meet with Margaret Sikowitz. The office itself is warm and welcoming, and the staff very friendly. They have you fill out a form about your history, ails and predicaments and then spend a decent chunk of time with you on what's going on and what you're interested in treating. The initial session costs $125 and $90/visit thereafter.
After confirming we were focusing on my allergy issues, we got down to work. Within the first 10 minutes of my session, I could already feel my sinuses clearing up. Margaret also recommended some supplements in addition to my treatments. I've been on Omega 3s and Probiotics for two weeks and have already noticed a difference!
While it's definitely an ongoing process, I'm already excited about round II and feel world's better just from that first visit alone. It's fascinating learning about your body, as well as the benefits of holistic medicine. What can I say? I'm a believer! -

New York, NYFIrst of all I was shocked to see that the last review about this amazing center was written two years ago!! A place like this should be getting constant praise!!!
I made an appointment to see Jill, whose smile instantly warmed my heart. She is truly a breath of fresh air, making every effort to answer all questions without making you feel rushed.
My initial consultation was lengthy, informative and I immediately felt like I was in good hands.
Once I lay on the table I knew what was coming and to my surprise I was instantly transported into a state of pure bliss when she poked me with her needles.
I've also had the pleasure of meeting Amanda, another fabulous therapist. Sarah the receptionist is absolutely wonderful!!
This place feels like a home away from home...
