FDNY- Birthday Party for Boy with his Rescuers

Published: July 28, 2014 Boy Invites His FDNY Rescuers to His Birthday Party FF Joseph Wylie, FF Steve Fazio, FF Peter Santiago and Paramedic Paul Ardizzone with Brian Davis at his 7th birthday party. FDNY members who saved a young Manhattan boy’s life in May attended his 7th birthday party on July 27. On May 1, 6-year-old Brian Davis had an anaphylactic attack that was nearly fatal. FDNY members from EMS Station 8 and Engine 5 responded and found the young boy was turning blue and not breathing. Paramedics Paul Ardizzone and Adil Khalid began ventilating the patient and administered drugs to help with his allergic reaction. By the time they arrived at the hospital, he was breathing on his own and able to speak. Many FDNY members attended his party at Home Depot in Manhattan, helping him and his grateful family celebrate his special day.
