Brooklyn, NYSo I ordered the Lunch special and on a Saturday uhh wiin!! I got the any three roll maki lunch with spicy tuna crunch roll, california roll and spicy salmon crunch roll. I ordered it with white rice though they give the option for brown rice at an extra charge of $1 which is not bad at all. I also got a salad and edamame all for the low price of $11.95. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and my stomach was definitely appreciative once I was done eating. The food was great I will definitely order from here again more than likely the same thing just because I already know that it is good.
Another successul Seamless order. -

Manhattan, NYLovely staff and great lunch specials. Came here and had the sashimi and sushi lunch special ($10). Great deal! I recommend the shrimp tempura roll. -

Glen Rock, NJVery impressed. Today was my first day ordering sushi from them (pick up). Their lunch specials are great deals. The woman who took my order on the phone was very friendly, and the woman (who I think was the same woman I spoke with) was friendly when I walked in the door. The sushi was very good (I had a salmon avocado roll and yellowtail roll), as was my salad and shumai. The restaurant itself is small but very cute. I would try eating there some time. -

Vienna, VAGot the lunch special. The dumplings were really good! Everything else was just ok. -

Ardsley, NYThe lunch specials are a steal. The nightly $2 beer special is fun. The cooked food, calamari, beef negimaki and tempura is very reasonable and delicious. However, the sushi was disappointing. The rolls were sloppily prepared and the sushi rice was plain, not seasoned white rice.
If you are looking for few beers and well prepared cooked Japanese food get here as soon as you can. But if you are looking for great sushi, run the other way! -

This place is AWESOME for only a few reasons:
1) Unbeatable lunch special bento box $8.50 from 11am-430pm!!!! Included are choice entree, california roll, 3 piece gyoza, rice, salad, and miso soup. Quite filling compared to other sushi lunch specials.
Of note, their shrimp tempura bento box IS 5 STARS and they actually use the Japanese panko on their generous sized shrimp. Great tempura skills as well! Not heavily battered, not overly fried or oily, perfect temperature. Stay away from everything else other than something beef or something chicken.
2) Free delivery! AND no quality lost during delivery (like most other sushi places I order for delivery- and doesn't the amount of food always seem much smaller when delivered? NOT HERE!)
3) Inexpensive Beer specials!
So why give this fine, clean, and beautiful establishment?
Inconsistency.
The wait staff is very attentive, maybe too much with the suggestions and the pushing of their foods. Their rolls are a bit sloppy. Some of their fish is not that fresh- but most are. Their udon soups were below standard. They obviously use frozen salmon in their entrees (not sushi salmon). Poor technique when preparing tofu.
Overall, I love this place for their lunch special and I will continue coming here. Hopefully they improve and up the scale on their yelp stars. And yes, I would recommend ANYONE on the UES to eat here for a solid lunch! -

Woodside, NYLunch specials are a MUST!
If you never had some, get some.
Calamari is fantastic, crispy & juicy, dipping sauce is awesome!
New establishment, very clean, friendly servers, and super-fast delivery! -

I would actually give this place 3.5 stars.
The service was excellent. They were very attentive and friendly and they didn't rush us out at all. The food itself was pretty decent (I ordered the Beef Negamaki) and a good portion for $15. The miso soup wasn't the most delicious I've had but it wasn't bad. Overall the food was probably about average.
The real perks of this place are the service - they made sure to fill up our water glasses often, the pineapple chunks you get after you finish your meal, the coupon you receive for your next visit (has to be within 2 weeks) that's valued at 10% of the meal you just paid for, and finally the guava candy they have for you when you leave.
The only real downside was that there were a lot of flies in the restaurant. I'm not sure if they had left the door open but it was distracting and not really nice to be waving my hand all over the place while trying to eat. -

Manhattan, NYOrdered on a Friday night. Took two hours. Would definitely avoid this one if you can. -

Manhattan, NYAmazing service, amazing specials, amazing fried ice cream! They have an extensive list of lunch specials that can cater to anyones likings, as well as dinner specials. Their prices are lower than a few other places around, but the quality of food was great. The decor was nice inside as this place had just opened, and the staff was very attentive, kind, and always nearby to top off my water and bring the next dish. This small gem is wedged between two other establishments so it's easy to walk by, but you will not be disappointed once you get inside. I have high standards when it comes to sushi, but Atami did not fail to meet them! I will definitely be visiting again and taking friends here! -
