In the former Paramount theater (thus the fancy marquee)
Basically pretty good, some complaints about 1) it is too pricey 2) poor service 3)it is SO Rock and Roll ( but why go there at all if you are into hip hop or something?)

This place holds my heart for personal reasons! My hubby asked me to be his girlfriend this day and than we went to grab some food after taking a tour in ellis island and shopping in times square. Love the atmosphere and the memorabilia is totally awesome. The food and drinks are good ... nothing to brag about however everything tastes great and the service is really good.
Best part! When you walk in they take a picture of you and when you sit down they bring it to you for purchase .... You get a whole set ... magnets .. key chains and a big one for about $15 bucks! Great little souvenir!10/28/2013 -
Food: My friends and I stopped in here on our pub crawl back to the hotel. We all had a pint of the Shock Top before we headed on over to the next pub.
Service: Service at the bar wasn't all that great. I mean we were served, but other than that there was very little interaction. I'm sure the bartender had a very long day and probably caught him near the end of his shift.
Location: Pretty conveniently located at Times Square. Kind of a tourist trap. Nothing wrong with that, but you can eat and drink at better places.12/1/2013 -
We arrived at this place about half an hour before 'lunch'.
As it is part if a chain you really know what to expect. We came in for a burger knowing we probably wouldn't be disappointed.
I'm not a big fan of chain or franchise restaurants but it's good sometimes to have a place where you know what to expect if you don't want to look around too much for something else.
Being from Europe the 'American way' of hospitality can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes seems rather fake.
But as a large part of Europe is a service wasteland, it is also refreshing to be flooded by friendliness. And I for one prefer fake friendly over honest nasty any time.
I liked how our waitress had a bit of a show going on in her style of helping the customers. It surely was engaging and I can only imagine the amount of patience and thick skin you must have to survive just one day waiting on customers in a huge place like this.
We shared a 10oz 'legendary burger'. We ordered it 'medium'.
We were not disappointed. We got exactly what we came in for: a well prepared burger (btw meat is the main thing here, so no comments about buns or fries and all the rest).
We didn't experience any issues with waiting time, maybe because we were in pretty early for lunch.11/3/2013 -
Took a school group. They were rather oblivious to the memorabilia since they prefer hip hop, but the service was very friendly and accommodating. Food was just okay, but I don't imagine you're going for the food, anyway.

Decent place to stop in for a bite before a show. Service was great and food is predictable. The only negative is their waiting area before you go in is *really* disorganized.
-
Food was good, although it was typical pub food with NYC prices. The service is pretty good considering the huge volume of people that were there. Nice and easy place to go to, especially in the heart of NYC.12/3/2013

Only 25 minute wait during prime dinner hours on a Thursday.
Plenty seating in this Hard Rock. Just walk under the huge lit guitar and get your name on the list. Walk around and admire the 300 Gibson guitar wall while you wait.
Once inside there are many other cool things to see from past musicians..
We ordered some appetizers that more than filled us up. If your going to do that as well try the hot wings and nachos. Plenty to fill up 2 adults.
Location is right off from Times Square, this is definitely a hit.9/5/2013 Dear Joe C., Thanks for posting this kind review, hope to see you again soon! DanielS -
Not bad. Drinks were good and the bartenders were super friendly. The food was just average. We had the nachos and potato skins. The skins were tasty, but nothing above average. The nachos were meh. The cheese was not great or cooked fully through, but the chicken was good and plentiful.

Went last night with a coworker and had so much fun! The waitress was amazing, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the drinks had a slight heavy pour. Never better.11/18/2013 Dear Jessica, Thanks for stopping in, hope we soon you again soon! DanielS

How can you visit Nyc and not come to the Hard Rock Cafe? We came here about 5ish on a Saturday. The wait for a table was an hour and a half. We decided to just grab drinks at the bar instead. Lots of entertainment, but was way too crowded.
-
Came here for lunch and it was very crowded. We only waited about 30 minutes not a terrible wait.
Our server was this hippie guy that I was a little iffy about at first but turn out to be cool.
The decor was pretty cool. With all the instrument s and autograph pictures. A real rock and roll look. I love it.
The food was mediocre at best. At least what I ordered. I had the wild salmon and it was pretty bland.
I will go back to try something else. I hope it was just what I had. I really want to like this place better.8/14/2013 -
Nice and good place to grab something to eat, you can defiantly find a better deal in terms of pricing.
We've ordered the Nachos as first dish and ribs and the sirloin steak for main dishes, the Nachos are awesome and can be enough for at least 3 people to share, the steak was defiantly good ... the ribs were average and can easily find better ones.
The service is BAD!! Slow slow slow and slow!! Took about 30 minutes to get the main dish.
If we sum it all up its an average place for tourist that can do its job for tourist.9/24/2013 -
I usually stop by to pick up a couple of HR pins for nieces/nephew. Not much change in their design this yr compared to last yr. Since we went in October, they did have a pink October breast cancer pin, limited edition. If you're considering shopping here for pins, better to go in the morning when they open because it gets pretty crowded in the evenings.

Seems like every other Hard Rock that I have been to but the bartender was friendly and quick. The Miller Lite was cold.10/5/2013 Hi May, Thanks for posting your comment on Yelp, hope we see you again sson. DanielS

Way too pricy but it is an experience. There are so many other better and cheaper places to eat versus this place. The food is just the typical all American food, nothing special. I got the burger and fries as well as the rest of my table and the burger was dry. But hey, it's good if you're hungry.10/21/2013

Overpriced Diner. Nuff said....
Tourist trap.. nothing special at all7/18/2013 -
So let me start off by saying this, Hard Rock New York is an absolute experience! They have some of the best collectibles from the rock world and the wall of guitars was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I was a little disappointed with the lack of "big" band things, but you could easily look past that.
This being said, the service was kind of lackadaisical and slow. The waiter was nice but it seems like he had just too many tables to attend to. There were a ton of waiters and waitresses but he seemed to be the only one doing his job. The people behind us came in 25 minutes after us and they got their food 10 minutes before we did.
The food though, that was great. I had the Legendary Burger with twisted mac and cheese and it was probably one of the best things I've ever had. Everyone else in my party also said their food was great.
All in all, I would recommend the Hard Rock New York to anyone! Food is great and certainly has the ambiance. It would've gotten a 5 star if only the service was better7/27/2013 -
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome place!
First I have to say that we came in 10 min before last call on food and they were kind enough to order with no rush. The waitress was so sweet and swift about everything we asked for. We went for both of her recommendations: mushroom & Swiss burger and Hardrock Nachos. The burger was a bit dry, but we just slapped some mayo on it and it was good. NOW, the nachos were pure heaven! It's an appetizer but I ate it as my entree. It can literally feed 4-5 ppl. It's a mountain of nachos with plenty of jalapeños, retried beans, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and additional toppings. The red Sangria was okay, but the Bahama Mama was the best I've ever had.
P.S they serve breakfast too.
