Red Flowers

I don't know what these red flowers on 2nd Avenue are...someone who is more botanically informed than I am may know. Just like the look of them. I suppose they are fall flowers because we are well into September now...

Trees are still all green. Change of colors will come next month...wonder, with all this climate change phenomenon, what kind of October we will have.
