Why We Have So Much International News
When I started this blog, my focus was basically just on Midtown Manhattan with some references to events elsewhere.
Last year, for instance, I spent a lot of time reviewing shops, restaurants and theaters etc. using Yelp online reviews
This could only go on for so long...I realized that I really did not want to cover the whole City neighborhood by neighborhood or anything like that and also when Winter came I realized how difficult the traveling around and taking photos was.
I still like to take videos anywhere I can get to. Hope to get to Brooklyn next.
The focus on international news, and especially Science News:
I have always noticed how uninformed we are in the U.S. about what goes on in other countries where we do not have an immediate involvement, such as Iraq or Afghanistan.
When it comes to our closest neighbors, in fact, Canada and Mexico, we know most about ice hockey and drug cartels and that is about it.
I can't cover the whole world nor would I want to, but especially with the Science and Technology articles I am trying to create a document that will be of interest both in and outside the U.S.
As I have said, I welcome any comments or criticisms of the blog and really enjoy your feedback.
