BAM! It really sucks that brothers in Boston had to sacrifice their lives but now the pressure is on the City. Anyone who recommends a reduction in staffing or even closing fire companies should be held 100% liable. As well as anyone who lowers training standards in the academy. We have standards for a reason. They are developed out of years and years of experience that trumps 'Political Correctness'. This doesn't bring our brothers back, but hopefully serves as a warning to politicians who try to crunch numbers by laxing on safety. Absolute shame

The findings from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health raise troubling questions about tactics used to fight a fire that stunned the city.
