5 Firefighters Hurt Battling House Fire in Queens: FDNY

Five firefighters suffered minor injuries Sunday morning battling a fire at a two-story house in Queens.
The fire started at about 9 a.m. in the basement of the house on Laburnum Avenue in Flushing. It spread quickly to the first and second floors.
More than 100 firefighters responded to the alarm and had the fire under control in about an hour.
The five firefighters were treated for minor injuries, FDNY officials said.
The cause of the fire hadn't been determined. The house was heavily damaged, firefighters said.
