CHICAGO -- Federal investigators have joined Chicago police and fire officials in investigating what caused a fire at a flea market in West Humboldt Park earlier this week.
They said at a press conference today that the fire was so massive, it could take several weeks to determine it's cause.
The fire destroyed "Buyers Flea Market", near Cicero and Division, on Tuesday.
Four-hundred vendors lost their incomes, 100 cars were destroyed, with more than $16 million in damages.
The national response team of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Fire (ATF) is capable of doing field tests on explosives and accelerants. But fire officials say at this point, there's no indication that the cause of this fire is suspicious.
