Nancy Lunnie Jones If you've never been in a fire, you have no idea- it's not like TV- it isn't light, it isn't hazy, it is hot black smoke filling every space around you. It is terror. These officers risked death and are probably still coughing up junk out of their lungs. They deserve the honors coming to them. Well done!

Pint-Sized Hero Dials 911 To Help Mom

Sarah’s father works overnights and she knew that her mom needed to see a doctor. She remained calm as she spoke to the 911 operator, explaining what the emergency was. Police ...

Probationary NYPD Officer Helps Veteran Cops Save A Distraught Woman
Probationary officer Bory Echanique, riding along with veteran officers Miguel Lajara and Santo Villar as a part of his field training, learned firsthand that a day on patrol is never routine. The officers were traveling along Westchester Avenue in the 43rd Precinct at approximately 1:48 p.m. when they were flagged down by several individuals who pointed to a 46-year-old woman climbing a fence along an overpass located above the Bronx River Parkway. The officers quickly ran to the woman who had made her way to the top of the fence.
