A 58-year-old man was shoved by an unknown assailant onto the subway tracks at the East Broadway F station early yesterday morning, according to police.
The NYPD tells us that the victim, who has not been identified, was at the platform at around 3:45 a.m. yesterday when he was pushed by a man in a black leather jacket and black hat.
He was removed from the tracks and transported to NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, where he was treated for a leg and back injury. The suspect fled before police arrived; DNAinfo reports that he ran into the nearby Stop 1 Deli after exiting the station.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
