  • Hudson Valley Wire Looks like an inspirational film for troubled youth. Yes, I would absolutely watch it. Let young people know that this is not something "above" their station in life. At the same time, being a FF/EMT will fill that need for a "rush" that all young people chase in one fashion or another. Doing it in a positive way, that's top-notch.

Update: Police have determined that no criminal charges will be issued in the death of Adam Brunt, 30, during a swift water training exercise.
Brunt died when he got trapped under ice during water rescue training; private training firm was under fire for not being regulated.

A deputy sheriff was responding to a report of a stolen truck when the suspect fled and began a high-speed chase; the suspect hit a firefighter head on who was on his way to work.
The motorcyclist was 30-year-old Jordan Barry Howard, who was on his way to work at the North Greenville (S.C.) Fire Department.

Another fire department is taking uniform precaution.
There has been no specific threat to the San Antonio Fire Department, but they are taking precautions in light of recent tension aimed at first responders.
