Crews from Tallaght and Rathfarnam were called out to a communal kitchen on fire over the weekend.
On arrival, the kitchen area was smoke logged and the occupants of the building were evacuated.
On investigation, the fire turned out to be a toaster on fire. Thankfully the fire was limited to the toaster. The cause was the crumb tray was full.

Bad Weather and Overloaded: Six patients were removed from this car last night in Balbriggan. Swords, Balbriggan, the Emergency Rescue Tender from Phibsborough, along with 3 DFB and 1 NAS Ambulance responded to the RTC.
Overloaded cars can become easily unstable, and added difficulties of poor driving conditions and inexperienced drivers compound the situation.
Assuming all five seat belts were used, one passenger was sitting unbelted. An ejection during an RTC increases the risk of catastrophic fatal injuries to all in the car.
