Brooklyn mom loses 2nd child to holiday block party gun violence

PICTURE: Damon Haskins, shooting victim On Saturday, September 5, 2015 at approximately 2024 hours, police officers responded to 500 Sterling Place within the confines of the 77th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 41-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his chest. EMS responded and transported the victim to Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced DOA. There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Man who robbed five women in nine days arrested: cops 

Cops arrested the crook who robbed five women at gunpoint in a nine day span, two them just 20 minutes and a few blocks apart, in Brooklyn, police said in Sunday, September 6, 2015. Justin Farrow, 29, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was charged with five counts of robbery and possession of a weapon for the string of incidents around the Kensington and Windsor Terrace neighborhoods between Aug. 20 and Aug. 29, police said.

Robbery suspect shot by cops in Bushwick gun fight charged with attempted murder

Jerrol Harris, 27, is facing more than 15 charges for the Friday morning (September 4, 2015) gunfight through Bushwick, Brooklyn, that left him hospitalized with a bullet in his leg. The charges he’s facing include attempted murder, assault, attempted murder of a police officer, reckless endangerment and gun possession.

On Monday, June 29, 2015, at approximately 0021 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 396 Decatur Street, in the confines of the 81st Precinct. Upon arrival officers discovered a 35 year old male in the front seat of a vehicle at that location unconscious and unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to the neck and torso. EMS arrived and transported the aided to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 0100 hours. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.

'Suspicious' Brooklyn blaze leaves 6 injured 

Brooklyn firefighters battled a stubborn 4 alarm blaze which destroyed one home and heavily damaged another. The fire at 1312 Glenwood Road was well advanced by the time firefighters arrived with flames consuming the home and spreading to the adjacent house. Five occupants recieved minor injuries, several firefighters were injured as wee, none seriously. The cause of the blaze is undetermined and is under investigation.
