  • Kevin Rucker Went down there to check it out within the last hour. Looks like it started from a vending machine in the adjacent building - a small grocery mart - that sparked. Visible damage along that wall. No significant structural damage to Riptide so they will be open for business in the future. Not sure how near, though.

  • Mike Peterson I drove by at about 1130 last night, and I was surprised to see a dozen people sitting on the curb or standing around drinking in front of the Riptide next to a large pile of burned up garbage covered in a white tarp. I waved at them and half of them always back like they were holding a vigil!
