Firefighters have used thermal imaging cameras to ensure the factory fire is fully extinguished but will remain on scene for some time.
On arrival MFB crews wearing breathing apparatus commenced an aggressive attack on a fire which involved the rear of an auto wreckers factory, approximately 40 metres by 20 metres in size.

Fireys have contained a fire at a motorbike repair factory to the spray booth.
Crews were called to the Hudson Road factory at 6.34pm. The fire originated in a spray-painting booth at a motorbike repair factory.

Farewell to Senior Station Officer Eddie McMullen who's hanging up the boots after an impressive 45 years with MFB!
In October the 68-year-old MFB veteran will pull out of Highett fire station in his truck for the last time.

I remember you coming into your daughters kindergarten to show us your ppe when I was a little kid. 32 years on and you inspired me to become one. 20 years after joining as a firefighter and I still love it. I also remember running into you on the upper west side of new york at the firefighter memorial on september 11 2011. Always a gentlemen. Enjoy your retirement
