Transcendental Meditation / FallWe are excited to offer another round of Transcendental Meditation (TM) training at FoF this fall by the David Lynch Foundation and Operation Warrior Wellness to a limited number of active and retired firefighters and their family members.
TM is an effortless, personal technique practiced twice daily for 20 minutes, allowing your mind to reach a state of “restful alertness”.
TM can help: Achieve greater inner calm — Reduce stress — Normalize blood pressure — Reduce insomnia — Lower risk of heart attack and stroke — Reduce anxiety and depression — Improve brain function and memory — Increase blood flow to the brain — Increase tolerance
“I never thought I could be my own help. I don’t react to stressful situations the way I used to, I’m more tolerant. It’s about finding a stillness you forgot you had in you.” - Active FDNY firefighter
If you are interested please contact us to be put on the list.
