Surveillance of citizens by Polish services increases - report

Poland's police, special services, courts and prosecutors filed 2.2 million requests for access to data collected by telecom operators in 2014, up by 25% year on year, according to data collected from the telecom market regulator UKE by Panoptykon foundation.

The services access the data unsupervised, which violates the constitution, Poland's supreme audit office NIK and Constitutional Tribunal have said.
