This Month in History
1993 - Wladyslaw Sikorski’s remains are transferred from Great Britain to the Wawel Castle. A famous Polish military leader and Prime Minister, Sikorski participated in various underground groups that helped promote the nation’s independence. He was eventually killed in 1943 (whilst in office) when a plane he was on crashed into the sea.
