Let us find out the Yelp story...huh--most people really like it, --women seem less tolerant than men...this does not look like a dive to me but of course some woman says that--while not seeming all that unhappy with it...other people think it is GREAT...what can I tell you

Review from Adrian O.
I was in NYC to get married and after my reception and ceremony in a very close by Restaurant, my entire wedding party from Texas walked into this bar.
Needless to say the bartenders were shocked and overwhelmed with the amount of drinks that we were ordering at a time and how amazing we all were...literally!! lol
Upon our arrival, I met Kelly who was running Karaoke on the Saturday night (7/20/13) when we all came in. She was amazing..super nice and friendly.
Drinks were great. Met lots of locals in the place who stated they do not get many tourists because it is a neighborhood bar, which is why I picked this specific place which I found here on Yelp and its great reviews.
We ALL (30 people) had a great time in the place. My husband told me later that one of the Managers was tending bar that night and she was extremely happy to know that we all went in as she predicted it would be a slow night and they just so happened to have 2 bartenders that night. Good thing they did because we put both of them to work all night till 4 am!
They also have a pool table which some took advantage of. But if you are reading this...go in. Sit down. Order a drink. Enjoy the neighborhood feel...SING WITH KELLY when she is working Karaoke there!! Tell her The Texas Crew sent you...she will know exactly who you are talking about....we are all friends with her on Facebook now... -
Review from Bar Pool David K.
Plano, TXThe only great place to play 'bar pool' in east Midtown.
They have a pool table up-front and proud in the front room. ($2 but this is NYC, and it takes bills.) What makes it great is the quality of the players. Warning: league players tie up the pool table on most Tuesday nights. Usually have a live band on Wednesday evenings. Fun crowd. Cheap beer, with lots better beers on draft, plus shot specials.
Greg is the charming bartender that appears to run the place single-handed, and then come from behind the bar to win the last game or two on the pool table. -

Hoboken, NJGood spot to kick back some drinks after work. They play an interesting mix of music, at least when I've been there. I'm not sure if it's Juke box driven or just someone with a good mix list. Lat time I was there (weeknight) it was all 90's music.
My only reason for holding the 5 star, no food in house! They do have a book of menu's though that you can order delivery but it's hard to beat getting something made there. -

Gaithersburg, MDGreat dive bar, just two blocks from Grand Central. Decent draft selection and prices very reasonable. They have good happy hour specials, which i just missed (crowded too) on Friday and also have karaoke night on Saturday which was fun to listen. -

Good bar in Midtown East. It was really close to the Grand Hyatt. Wanted to go somewhere where it was super casual and had good cheap draft beers. -

Brooklyn, NYPeter Dillon's is a classic Irish pub with an authentic Irish bartender will fill your draught beer till it overflows out of your glass. They also have a wall full of bottles of Jameson because the patrons of this bar will probably go through that much booze in one evening. The decor is very old NY and perfect to get out of the summer heat and relax. My favorite part of this place is that you can bring your own food in here. There is also a pool table another one of my favorite things. I'm quickly liking this place more the more I think about it and would not hesitate coming here again. -

Yes, please.
Downright friendly staff and good drink deals are why I'd return. My wallet was happy to see $4 shot specials the evening I was there, and $4 PBRs too - no credit card minimums.
The crowd was a bit random, but what else do you expect when you're so close to Grand Central Station? Bring friends, and enjoy yourself! -

Manhattan, NYConviently located next to GCT, I'll be back for the return of the Autumn Wind. -

Los Angeles, CALook here, this is the best place I've been in nyc. Staying here for 6 weeks as an out of towner for work, no place has made me feel so at home. Raider's fans in New York, come here. This place is everything a pub should be. Come have fun.
Late review. But best bar in New York. See you guys next year. -

One visit and you'll be saying "I want to go to there" again and again!
Stopped by to see my favorite Irish singer who was performing with another gent on an electric guitar (they did an amazing version of "Hotel California", btw). What I found while listening to some wonderful music was a nice, low key pub with friendly bartenders and comfortable chairs. The beer menu won't make a beer snob's heart race or anything but you can get a decent pull of something.
I really enjoyed the laid back vibe and non-douchey scene (although the loud drunk girl who kept on going up and grabbing the singer's mic and screaming into it, I could have done without).
Let's call this one a gem in the midst of midtown banality. -

Hoboken, NJThis is your average Irish pub style dive bar in midtown. Its not great, but its not bad. Drinks are really cheap, which is a plus, but as for variety, you wont get much. If you need a few drinks after work in midtown, it works. There are always better bars, but I guess you cant go wrong with this place if you are looking for a dive bar. -
Review from Danika C.
New York, NYCan we say dive bar??
Loved the cheap drinks, the crowded space not so much. It was definitely fun meeting up with coworkers and indulging in many, many tall glasses of $4 blue moons.. At least until happy hour was over!
