Have you seen Sainsbury’s new Christmas advert? A cute cat called Mog inadvertently starts two fires, but luckily dials 999 and with the help of the community his family’s Christmas is saved.
Unfortunately the family who were fast asleep, don’t appear to have a working smoke alarm and as not every home has a ‘super cat’ like Mog, we’re reminding everyone to make sure they have a alarm fitted in their home. We’re also concerned the family had left their Christmas lights on ov...

Caroline Hall We had a severe chimney fire many years ago, on Twelfth Night... despite being careful and only burning 5 links at a time, the paper chains our children had made at school, which were made from FOIL, set the chimney on fire and the heat was so intense ...See More

Nick Godfrey Be thankful you're allowed to use fireworks too! In Australia, its a serious offence to use fireworks if you aren't a qualified pyrotechnics expert & working for a company, putting on a show for whatever reason
James Jim Newbery I hope all the watches on service tonight have a quiet one. Stay safe all.
At 11 o’clock firefighters and staff across the Brigade joined the country in observing two minutes silence to mark Armistice Day and remember the fallen.
On Sunday we held our annual Remembrance Sunday Service at our former headquarters in Lambeth, which was attended by our Fire Cadets. Lest we Forget.

Gwen Light Well done my father was at Lambeth during the war

This is probably the best firefighter video ever! We've teamed up with Playmobil to create a catchy song and video which shows that we don’t just attend fires. Watch us rescue clowns, Father Christmas and a cowgirl which as any firefighter will tell you is just a normal day at LFB.
As part of our 150th anniversary celebrations we've teamed up with Playmobil to produce a fun sing-along video that aims to keep young Londoners safe.

This Remembrance Sunday we pay tribute to all of the firefighters who lost their lives during the first and second world wars.
We also remember those firefighters who served their country, and the brave men and women of the Auxiliary Fire Service who lost their lives protecting London during The Blitz.
