Contrary to popular belief, Justin Bieber is modest. A little bit.
On Thursday, Bieber's lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to the New York Daily News after the paper published photos of the singer enjoying his Bora Bora vacation completely in the buff, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The photos did censor Bieber's junk with a semi-respectful black bar, but his legal team claims the paparazzi snapshots still violated Bieber's publicity and privacy rights.
The letter gave the Daily News 12 hours to remove the photos, but the 12 hours have long since passed, and the nudes remain available for the public's viewing pleasure on the publication's website. Though Bieber's lawyers are threatening to pursue further legal action beyond the letter, the damage has been done, and the original, entirely uncensored photos have been leaked onto the Internet.
This very public incident of full frontal nudity may or may not be less embarrassing than Bieber's recent attempt to shotgun a beer. At least his masculinity is still—somewhat—intact.
