The 35-year-old suspect linked to the double stabbings at an Ikea store in Västerås on Monday had been told that he was set to be expelled from the country, Swedish media are reporting.

Sweden's prosecution authority has told The Local that it is "very unlikely" Julian Assange will be questioned in London before a Thursday deadline, but his chief lawyer in Sweden says he'll drop everything to join his client in London if the interview goes ahead.

An Indian python appeared to fall out of a moving car in Malmö on Wednesday morning. Police say it's unclear if it's the same animal that was spotted in a park in July or another notorious snake that's twice been lost and found in the area.
