It is with great sadness that we announce, after 3 years running, NYC Fire Wire is pulling the plug. With everything going on with Chief Mannix, then the fund; it proves that no matter how good your intention is, or who you are, someone will have a problem with it if it doesn't fit their agenda.
This page was ran with the best of intention. We love the FDNY and we wanted everyone to know the hard work put into behind the scenes of this great city.

  • NYC Fire Wire It looks like we found the right person who wants to take over so we don't have to shut the page down. I went from depressed to excited. Lotta positive response and people looking to take the helm.

The response to today's post was overwhelming. Lot of requests from the right people who are willing to see to that this page continues in it's direction, if not better. We worked hard on this page, I need to protect my wife and 2 young boys, so I will be handing the page over to a new owner, some of the same admin are sticking around. Thank you all for the support. It really meant a lot. This proved to be a full time job with-in itself. I will help guide the new admin, keep everyone up to date but releasing ownership and all responsibilities. -Dan

The time that i have been a member of this page i have learned many things about the job and have transitioned in my own work here in my own department. I am sure all of us agree that you need to take care of your blood family as a priority. Will keep you in thoughts and prayers.

We remember Captain Timmy Stackpole. A touching tribute by his wife. In 1998, Captain Stackpole had a brush with death but recovered from all injuries and returned to work. On 9/11/01, his 2nd tour after being promoted to Captain, he lost his life at the World Trade Center.
