Even Eagles Hate Drones

It’s not just fishermen or emergency responders who hate having drones annoyingly buzzing overhead. Apparently the Australian wedge-tailed eagle isn’t a fan of camera-equipped quadcopters either, and this one makes short work of one invading its territory. But don’t worry, while the drone took a nasty tumble, the eagle was unharmed.

You guys were all about drones until it became a hobby for white guys. Now they are “uncool” I guess. Fucking hipsters man. And no I’m not a drone owning white guy, I just hate to see the hypocrisy that comes from hipster culture.

1 - Why in the fuck does that thing have a microphone on it, and could they not at least put a windscreen on it?!

2 - Don’t harass wildlife with your toys. Yes, flying into it’s territory is harassing it.

  1. Most cameras have a microphone built in. It would be weird to not have one. Wind socks add weight and if substantial enough, generate aerodynamic drag.

If i’m not mistaken, and the upward thrust was a response to the bird; my question is why? Wouldn’t it be better to just cut the engines?

  The drone pilot probably didn’t realize it was specifically going after the drone itself until it was too late, still even if he did cut the engines the bird was going to take a chunk out of it as to it is was clearly another bird invading it’s territory
